Worked well for awhile then.........

Worked great for awhile, then just quit altogether, I would recomend another brand, theri customer service was not helpful, and they told me I needed to send the monitor to them, on my dime, they would repair it and send it back COD for any charges.

Don't do it you'll be sorrry.....

I purchased one of these thinking it could replace the TV in our family area, it was larger than out 13" TV, and we could also get rid of our huge 17" Tube monitor. Well the TV picture quality is not so great, but for a monitor, while close to a tube, the resolution just isn't there, and if you have the shades open in the room it is almost impossible to see anything on the monitor, or the TV, I also was not crazy about the color of the case, there are two different colors, Black and Silver, I wish it was just one or the other, not both. Needless to say, the TV, and the huge monitor are back, I guess I will wait awhile, and hope that the image quality gets better in LCD monitors.

pretty good bang for buck

Fairly happy with this purchase. No dead pixels, sharp picture via analog, s-video. CATV picture is so-so, but likely a function of underlying cable signal. Only minor complaint regarding this item is the small plastic panel around the selection buttons is attached with poor quality adhesive and was detaching up from its surface right out of the box. Overall, a great deal for the price, though.

Good monitor, Good TV IF...

This is a good monitor and works well as a TV IF you use the digital or S-Video inputs. The picture using a coaxial cable is terrible! Unless you are going to get the picture from a source of S-Video quality or higher, I would not recommend you get this for TV use.

TV in the kitchen

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 7, 2003 (Casper, Wyoming United States)
I purchased this to use as a tv in the kitchen. To save space I mounted it IN the wall, so it looks like a picture hanging there. The picture is crisp, clear, bright and viewable from almost any angle. The remote is also of good quality (I received a standard sized one, not a little one as mentioned in other reviews) The reason it got 4 stars from me is the speakers. They are weak but still do the job. I guess if I wanted better speakers I would have spent twice the money on a LCD TV. This is a great buy!
