Does what it's supposed to do

It's a Y cable that allows you to split your keyboard/mouse port on your laptop so you can connect both a keyboard and a mouse at the same time. I use it on my Compaq Evo N610c with no problems. Cheaper than a docking station and works great.

Magic Cable Adapter
(5 out of 5) by Randy Nuss on Feb 9, 2006 (Asheville, NC)If you want to avoid USB, this is the thing to have to connect a mouse and keyboard to a single PS/2 port. Great for legacy notebooks with pre-USB operating systems. I'm surprised it isn't available from more manufacturers.
