Product Resolution is not as expected

(3 out of 5) by Raj Padmanabhan on Jan 10, 2003 (GA, USA)
Resolution was not as expected. When I received the product, I saw there was a bright red light spot on the LCD panel which would never go away. Also the clarity was not that great. One good thing about this monitor is TV reception was very good, but little on the dark side

I would look at other alternative. But the shipment was received as expected and refund process went smooth.

Wonderful Product - Great Value!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 6, 2003
I've purchased Envision monitors in the past and have yet to be disappointed, but this product is much more than I bargained for. The cabinet is beautifully made with a rich look and a solid feel considering it uses a cast metal base. The Picture in Picture (PIP) feature allows me to work and not miss the ball game, so that's a huge plus. And on top of it, I quite often go full screen with the TV when work get's to be too much. Good solid sound from the integrated speakers and a very well designed remote control. This product was more impressive to me than the Samsung PC-TV models I reviewed in person at a local retail outlet based on the brilliant colors, smooth flowing video in TV mode, and sleek design. Well worth the investment.

vertical angle

Very POOR viewing angle.
If you sit on a chair, looks OK.
When you stand up and look at it you see a dark (or very dark ) screen, depending how tall you are.
Don't buy it, there are other better monitors out there.

Happy Camper

I'd been wanting a larger monitor for use with my Compaq laptop. When prices went down, I couldn't resist. I run XP and the monitor was recognized on startup...didn't have to do a thing. The performance is great so far, and the good looks are a bonus. All around, I'd rate it an excellent deal.

Where is V-Chip?

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 20, 2003
Does this product apply under the FCC rules: As of January 1, 2000, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) required all new television sets 13 inches or larger to contain the V-chip technology. You can usually tell whether your television has a V-chip by looking at the packaging. If you no longer have the packaging, the V-chip option usually appears as part of the televisionÃ&
