The camera looks nice, but that is all it has - good looks! The software that comes with it leaves a lot to be desired. It is very complicated and does not even work with Windows XP very well. The pictures come out terrible! For a 3MP camera it sure does take terrible pictures. If it is portability your looking for I suggest you look elsewhere.
I'd be happier with NO camera than with a Kyocera
I have a Kyocera L3v, and, my days of digital photography can be characterized by words such as anguish, frustration, anger, hatred, and dissapointment (among other non appropriate ones). Suffice it to say, Kyocera makes a TERRIBLE product. I'm not joking when I say this--I've been exponentially happier with NO camera with my Kyocera 3Lv! Granted, I will take part of the blame for this, because I did not do my proper research that anyone should do when making a purchase of a digital camera. I was going abroad in a few days, so I went to my local Ritz, upon the assumption that the people there were genuinely interested in my concerns, not just trying to make a quick buck. How wrong I was. Some of the "problems" with this camera:
--it ALWAYS says "low battery" and shuts down in the middle of picture taking, even with a set of fully charged batteries
--the flash is terrible, and nightshots never come out
--it is very bulky
--It is almost impossible to take a picture that comes out with a decent resolution--the lighting must be perfect, your angle must be perfect, and the sun must be perfectly aligned for you to even have a chance at taking a decent photo
--The zoom? How's losing your entire resolution after zooming in only 1.5x sound?
--I could go on and on...but it's just a big headache. I'm so sick of this camera I need to hide it, because just thinking about it drags back bad memories. I'm a simple man who wants only to be able to take pictures to remember time spent with family and friends, but in almost every occasion, this camera does want to comply. I told my younger sister I'd give this to her because she's never had a camera before, but I'm currently re-evaluating this decision, because I care about her too much to allow her to go through what I have with this God awful piece of electronics!

Kyocera is a good camera
This camera looks great and if you read the instructions correctly you can take great photographs too. It's at its best shooting nature and sunny days. Great detail and fine texture.
