Most excellent, though with an SMP caveat
A very stable, high-speed PCI IO card that I presently run in a couple of my computers. The hardware has never let me down, moving loads of data back & forth between external IDE/ATA and internal SCSI drives without problem. But there is something to be aware of.
If you run SMP (more that 1 CPU) be advised that the text file on the CD states that the Adaptec driver is incompatible with such environments. And they are not kidding, as launching multiple instances of a simple batch copy will quickly verify.
For SMP you will want to run with the Microsoft USB drivers, which perform very satisfactorily with this hardware under SMP.
If you are running a single-processor machine then by all means load the adaptec drivers for this card. They are very high performance (by a factor of about 2 over the generic Microsoft drivers, according to my Backup Exec display). Backup Exec is (fantastic!) system backup software, and not related to Adaptec.
5 stars for the hardware, and, in a single processor system, 5 stars for those smokin' Adaptec drivers:)

works with Vista
Took it out of my old XP computer, put it in my new Vista computer, it intalled automatically, and works fine.
