Great Little Camera

(5 out of 5) by William E. Harrison III on Feb 5, 2004 (Woodland Hills, California United States)
I bought two of the cameras, one for my sister, and one for myself. Some of the reviews are really silly. The film is available. Sammy's Camera store in LA has plenty. All ten pictures work out of the pack. The camera is exceptionally easy to use and the pictures are sharp with good color. Also the camera isn't bulky at all. It is rather small. This is a fun camera. A great novelty for school, parties, social outings, etc. The only problem I had was with the batteries not making contact initially with the inner prong (which had to be pull-out a little). Other than that this is a great little camera.

small & cute

(4 out of 5) by stephanie y barnes on Dec 28, 2002 (upper marlboro, md United States)
Most of the time it takes good pictures. It seems every other picture comes out. For some reason the film pack says 10 exposures, but out of two packs I was only able to get 8 exposures per pack. But I love the compactness of it. And it's so cute. So far I've only seen it in Target stores, and they have marked them down after 2 months. I hope this camera will be around for awhile, not like the Handle Camera which I have also, without film.

Cute, Easy and Fun

(5 out of 5) by Josey Treat on Jun 27, 2004 (Huntington Beach, California)
The Polaroid Mio is an excellent camera. In fact, I may just be in love with mine. It is so cute, so much fun to use and takes great photos! Even the photos are cute - wallet size instead of the regular Polaroid square size.

I've used my Mio both indoors and outdoors and haven't had any trouble with photos not coming out. That's not to say that I haven't taken bad pictures, but that's no fault of the Mio. Even the bad ones come out in focus and colorful.

If you are a first time Mio buyer, I'd suggest stocking up on film. You'll have so much fun with this little guy that you'll use it much more than you think you will.

All in all, the Polaroid Mio is an incredible instant camera and well worth owning.

it's fun and all but...

(3 out of 5) by C. Yount on Apr 30, 2003 (NYC)
i also had a difficult time finding film as well. this camera was purchased for me off of my amazon.com wishlist but at the time the film wasn't in stock. so i had to try to locate some and eventually did at a camera store. so far the photos i have taken outdoors have turned out the best and at about a dollar a photo i think i'll just stick to taking photos outside.

No Problem!

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 11, 2004 (Ann Arbor, MI United States)
This camera is wonderful! The picture quality is excellent, far better then the normal 600 series Polaroids. The colors are especially nice outdoors. The film is not too easy to find but can be found at camera stores and online. People saying that "only every other picture cones out" would have the same problem with any camera. Overall a nice addition to instant picture taking.
