Finally, a surround sound system for the right price!!
It's hard trying to find a surround sound system for someone who already has a DVD player and is looking to add surround sound. Anyone who shops around knows that surround sound systems with dvd are less expensive than those without dvd. Why is that? Well once I came across this system I was a little skeptical about purchasing it but I was glad I did. The surround sound is amazing and the subwoofer, when really turned up, will make the windows shake. It sounds just as good as those costly systems and is perfect for someone like me who dosent have lot of money to spend but can still enjoy theatre quality sound. Also, the unit has several audio plugs (woo hoo) so you can connect a VCR, Playstation, and DVD all at once without having to switch out wires when you want to hear good sound.

great system
This one of the best systems you can buy these days, It is really 320 watts of power in surrond sound mode. This system has both Dobly Digital and Pro Logic decoders built in.It also has 4 preset EQs(heavy, soft, clear, and vocal)with 78 watt subwoofers built into each main speaker. The surrond sound speaker aren't the best but do sound better than most speaker. It has a 5 CD changer that takes a little time to change, and you never know which Cd is in what spot. You cant dub tapes, it has disc exchange which lets you take out one cd without interrupting the others. It has Bass/Treble controls, sleep timer, and clock. I really like the remote because it can control everything. It was real EZ to hook My PS2 to it. It just has 2 RCA inputs so you may be finding yourself walking up to it and changeing the cables if you have more than 2 things hooked up to it.This is a real good system for just about erveryone.

Great Dolby Digital Sound System
I've got the Panasonic AK600 for about a month and I can say it is great. I connected it with my DVD player using a digital audio optical cable. The system recognises the sound stream and changes to Dolby Digital 5.1, DD 2.1 or Dolby Pro Logic. It depends on the source audio stream. The surround speakers are easily attachable to the wall and you can increase the sound volume of the surround speakers without increasing it on the front speakers so you can get a better surround sound (I use +6 dB on the surround speakers and 0 db on the front ones). About the bass, the system provides built-in sub-woofers and an option to select sub-woofer off/mid/max. For watching movies I select the max option and get a really amazing bass that make my windows shake and the couch tremble ... but then again it all depends on the source audio stream. I really recommend this sound system.

If the looks don't kill you, the sound will!
The system is great. The sound quality is very true. I'm a professional sound technician for the rock band Common Rotation and am extremely particular about my sound equipment. I've hooked up my PS2, VCR, TV, and a portable MP3 player this bad boy. It handles them all and has a great sound to it. One of the best things about this system, other than it's superb sound quality, is the design of the system itself. It has a clean finish, whereas most other systems out there are made with hideous, unnecessary cladding. This system on the other hand has a crisp and handsome styling, one reminiscent of an audi.

Pleased with my Panasonic SC-AK600
I've owned this system for about seven months now and I simply love it. I have limited space in my very small apartment and it fits in just fine. The sound quality is very good for its size and the fact that it can decode dolby digital sound is great. It even has a digital coaxal and a digital optical input. It plays 5 cds but the cd changer is kinda slow and noisy which is not a problem for me. I have it hooked up to my digital cable system, my hi-fi vcr, and my tv-dvd combo and everything sounds great. It plays cd-r's and cd-rw's which is good for me since I burn alot of cds. In my opinion, it's the best stereo system you can get under the 250 dollar range on the market.
