Panasonic Voice Recorder Makes its way to the Top!

(5 out of 5) by Karen Heller on Jul 26, 2002 (Vineland, New Jersey United States)
This voice voice recorder is the best digital recorder I have ever bought. Previously, I have had a Sony ICD-B25 and A Olympus VN-180. The Panasonic RR-US320 has much better features, better sound quality, and has a USB hookup to your computer (which the other two do not have). This voice recorder is great also because it is small and thin, easy to use, and can store many messages in it. This product is great and I reccomend it to anyone who loves gvreat quality electronics at a low cost.

excellent voice recorder!

(5 out of 5) by Joseph A. Nowak on Aug 30, 2002 (West of the Mississippi)
I purchased this recorder because the microcassette recorder i had been using over the past 6 years bit the dust! Here is how I rate this little marvel.

sound quality 9
features 10
easee of use 8
appearance 10
value 10

recording time in lp mode is 105 minutes... in sp it's 33 minutes... and in hq mode, it's 13 minutes. I use mine in sp mode, because the sound quality is as good as the best microcassette recorder running at it's highest recording speed. I write music, and most of the time when a melody pops into my head I am nowhere near my synthesizer keyboard to play it. so I hum the tune into my RR-US320 recorder so that when I am at my keyboard, i can play the tune and store it in my keyboard memory. For just plain voice recording, lp mode is adequate... though not as clear as sp or hq mode. I am VERY glad I bought this recorder!

Clever but gimpy

(2 out of 5) by E JOHN KINSMAN on Oct 14, 2002 (Woodstock, Ontario Canada)
Clever deveice easy to use; bought it for purpose of "taping" lectures at University, at 15 min mode sound play back was
good(standard speed)...however i was mislead, at 105 min sound quality was garbled garbage...old 8 track tape sound better with mold on it!
Format size excellent...ease of use was also excellent, however if taping more than 15 min. ( standard speed) look else where.
The product needs more memory to sustain 120 min's, plus of
memory to sustain quality of recording.
However to be useful, this product needs replaceable memory cards..one doesn't have the time to download to a computer with appropriate software to make this device useful.

Great Product

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 17, 2002
I previously used a microcassette recorder and this beats it hands down. The small size is truly amazing and once you get used to where the controls are, it's a breeze to operate. Sound quality is more than adequate at Standard and excellent at HQ. The computer hook up works flawlessly allowing me to save notes in digital form. I've even done direct connections with a cassette tape with very good results. It has a high and low mic adjustment and putting it on low cuts out a lot of the background noise. I would recommend this product very highly.

Don't Buy It!!

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on May 6, 2003
Panasonic should be embarrased for boasting 105 minutes in LP(long play) mode. The quality of the recording is beyond terrible. In HQ (high quality)the recording is terrific but you only have 15 minutes in total for all 4 folders. I am returning this after owning it for only 20 minutes.
