Very good sound for this size
My brother received this stereo for Christmas and by the same occasion, I received the ak-200. The ak-300k is totally rock. A beautifull desing, big and clear sound, no distorsion and the bi amp/bi-wiring is a good technology to reproduce the sound with a great quality. Three way speakers. Good bass for this size, black color give an extraordinary style for a stereo. For the same price, there is jvc MX-k90 but the sound less good with a light distortion when volume up 25. The ak-300k have 220 watts total power (54 X 2) with (56 X 2)when the super sound EQ is in function. 5 cd charger but it is slow to change and does a little noise. Big construction quality, this stereo is perfect for you.
For those which has no more money, the ak-200 is maybe less powerful (160 Watts) but it offers the same sound quality, it is has to say excellent. Panasonic is recognized to make product of high quality and it shows it once again
Great Deal
I actually have the model with 300 watts, not sure of the numbers but it is the exact same thing except that. This has excellent sound at all volumes and the price is good fot the quality (of course, I got mine for about $100 b/c the box had beed puntcured, and all was well, so IM HAPPY!!)
overall, nice for a college living room.
Great Sound.
I got this stereo system for my brithday and loved it..only mine was the silver instead of black, which I would recommend for the girls. I totally love it, but my only complaint is the CD changer, which you can only change one at a time and it takes a while. If you got patience and want a stero with great sound for an affordable prive, this one's for you!!

Pretty good system..
Pretty good all-around system for the average person. CD music sounds clear with little distortion at higher volume settings. I also was able to hook it up to my TV using the RCA jacks on the back and even that sounded really nice.
The only draw back to this system is that you cannot manually set your EQ settings (which can be good or bad). It comes with pre-set settings depending on what type of music you are listening to. Really good for those who have no idea about these settings (like myself), bad for those who want more control or are picky about the sound.
Overall I'd say this is a good buy.
