Jason is correct 100% this phone is junk

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 17, 2003
I have used many cordless phones and concur with Jason 100%.

This is a phone to stay away from.

I still have this POS and am tossing it and moving on to a higher end Panasonic.

Avoid this headache of a phone!

(1 out of 5) by Jason Mcclelland on Aug 16, 2003 (San Jose, CA, USA)
-This phone gets worse reception that my previous phone, which was a first-generation, pre-900mhz cordless.
-It has a lot of static even though it has way more channels.
-The sound from the speaker and mic are distorted and fuzzy.
-It is too quite, you have to crank the volume all the way up just to hear the other person. You have to use it in a room without anyone else, or the TV.
-The battery dies constantly, and when it does, the phone emits this obnoxiously loud beeping while it is charging. Even though it is on the cradle charging! This is insane- first of all, I don't need that much of an alert that my phone is dying, and second of all, it should stop once it is charging.
-The phone has a poor design- it does not fit securely in the cradle, so you never really know if it is on there good so it can charge.

Overall, this phone is a poorly designed piece of junk that I wish we had never bought. If you are looking for a low priced basic phone, this is not it.

Best wishes,

Jason

Phone is ok

(3 out of 5) by Hermina Williams on Mar 21, 2003 (Carson, CA)
I bought this at Target store and its alright. The thing that I don't like is that it's LOUD whenever it rings. Another thing that I don't like is that it doesn't have a backlit keypad so basically you have to turn on the light just see. Another thing, sometimes whenever I TALK button, I wouldn't hear the dial tone and then after a while I would a beep so when I press TALK button and try it again, it does the same thing to the point where i have to put the handset back on the base and then pick it back up and press TALK.Oh another thing I don't like is that when someone calls you, it automatically answers the call. Suppose you don't look at the caller ID right away until you pick up the handset and you don't want to talk that person. Other than that it has cyrstal clarity, even on the answering machine, it sits up in a way on your desk. You don't even have to set the clock on the handset, it sets itself as soon as you get the first call and it also comes with a free head set for the phone...now what cordless does that.

Good phone for the price

This phone works great, except for one downside: the handset speaker does not get very loud. This can be a problem in noisy environments, unless used with the included headset. The headset and speakerphone both work perfectly well - well enough that people don't notice the difference.
All of the phone's features were simple to set-up and use, making for an overall enjoyable experience.

Never buy this one!

Worst audio, when you can hear it of course. Coz most of the time u only get a humming sounds before it dies out on you. We use it as an answering machine only nowadays.
