To add VCD capability

1. Make sure there is an audio CD in the player's tray.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following:
Stop, Menu, 1, Index, Open.

You don't even get what you pay for
(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Mar 23, 2004I bought this in early 2003. DVD drawer will only open with the remote. Now half of the remote functions won't work and there is no other way to access things. My center speaker stopped working (no dialogue). It is not the speaker. But the remote won't work when I try to change the mode to a different output. So is now useless.

waste of money

Receiver Problems
(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 25, 2002I have had the same problem three different times.Sent the unit back to Koss,it was returned and was fine.After 3 months,same problem arose.After about 3 months,same problem.I will have to send back to Koss again for repair/replacement.
The problem is:Soundfields do not switch when the "mode" button is pushed on the remote.It stays on "stereo" and cannot be changed. This only happens when in "tuner"[radio] mode.
Other than that,I like the system for the price,and Koss's service is excellent.

Bad Buy
