Great machine!
I bought this machine refurbished from an electronics liquidation store, so naturally I was really apprehensive and ready to take it back at even the tiniest glitch. I've had it for 3 months now and it's GREAT! It plays all the disc-types it says it does, has a great sleek look to it, has some nifty menu options and crystal clear picture. I like it so much (I love all KOSS products) that I bought a KOSS 5.1 surround sound package to hook to it, though unfortunately I haven't had the chance yet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Picture & Sound Great
My daughter presented me with this Koss DVD Player and seeing the price I became negative. Was I surprised. She hooked it up in a few minutes, the instructions were simple to follow and she loaded the new DVD into the player, it read the DVD and I was so delighted with the picture & sound featured on my 17" TV. I'm a senior citizen and not acquainted with technology of today and it was ideal for me. I also played a CD on the player and the sound was incredible. This was the best gift I have received other than jewelry when hubby was alive. Buy it, you will not be sorry.

Buy a good VCR instead of this machine!
This machine works...and that's all it does. The picture quality is horrible. You can see lines going across your screen when the picture is black. My old VCR works better! The remote control doesn't work well either. Frankly, the only thing this machine has going for it is the price.

Good DVD Player
The Koss KD250 works very well. Although it can't beat a $$$ panasonic dvd player in sound and video quality, it sure wins on price. Not only did it do everything as advertised, it also has some hidden features not advertised. Inside my box were instructions on how to unlock the region code restrictions and also how to enable VCD player mode. If your box did not include these instructions, just do a quick search on the web for DVD Hacks and you will have instructions soon enough.
Sad
I was so excited when I first got this and it worked fine for awhile. I'd have to turn it off and on by unplugging it to get the discs out. And it would often tell me that it couldn't read my discs (and these were store bought, high-end name brand movies). Finally I had to return it. Oh, and the instruction book was awful! Very poorly written and didn't make any sense. Do.Not.Buy.It.
