bought as a CD component

a radio....you will have to buy a 3.5 jack to 3.5 jack to plug into your system....I have this unit sitting on top of my dresser and with my radio...it is great because it doen't take up alot of space and I don't have to worry about batteries....great price...dosen't take up alot of space...

I am using this item with my computer or the Intec LCD

With computer allows fast duplication of DVD or to do captures to make posters or Sims(for the Maxis game) if you download anti-copyright software. Gamedrive program (also from Amazon, has utility that automaticly downloads cracks) Player is a little mors sensitive to bumps than I would like, but overall a great toy.

PAL? -- I don't think so...

I, too, thought it might play PAL videos, since the unit and the remote have a PAL/NTSC keys, but I cannot program it to play PAL videos. The documentation clearly states that it will only play Region One disks.
Nevertheless, I have a Norcent DVD player from Amazon ....that -- after a hack -- plays PAL disks.
Does anyone know how to program or code the Koss unit to play PAL disks?

Almost perfect, except

needs a little boost
(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 18, 2003We love ours for it's cuteness factor, but it required some experimentation in the beginning. Our TV didn't have the same inputs, so we had to connect it via our VCR. Unfortunately, this little guy's signal just isn't powerful enough to make it through all that, and we'd get the same messed up/fluctuating picture some folks here have complained about. The Koss website recommended getting an RF Modulator We've been happy ever since. Of course, you'd probably be better off applying that dough to a fancier DVD player. . . Regardless, we've never had troubles with over heating or freezing, we just make sure to switch the power off when not in use.
