It's good but...
(2 out of 5) by James K. Gorman on Oct 12, 2002 (Biloxi, MS)I bought it and loved it. The resolution was great, it saved valuable desk space, it has a great look to it, the price was right, and it handled everything I threw at it.
But after only 8 days of having it there is a line across the screen about a quarter-way down. It won't go away. After only eight days! I hadn't heard of Microtek monitors before this one but I have to say that my first experience has turned out a poor one.

Sharp resolution and superb response time. It has done well displaying my desktop (between Windows XP and now Windows Vista) as well as it has played action and sports games.

The first noted problem was the on off switch. You have to push it a certain way or hold your mouth a certain way to get the monitor to come on.
I called to get service from the company and there is no service there. I now am the owner of a $569.00 paper weight that have continues vertical lines across the screen and a tech support section that all go to lunch at 12:00 PST. They can't provide any help except an apology.

I purchased this monitor for its light weight and portability, thinking that it was perfect for the military person on the go. It failed to work correctly from the moment it left the box. Repeated attempts to contact Microtek went unanswered. I even contacted one of the major Computer Magazines asking for their assistance but even their efforts yielded no resolution. You don't have to just believe me, go to the Microtek troubleshooting web page. You can find all the information you desire for fixing a $50 scanner. But, I challenge you to find a single item about this monitor. "Microtek Monitor = No Support". Thank You
