Expensive yes, but worth every penny
I've had Thinkpads for over 7 years now, and when the time came to replace my old one, I researched the market extensively as I didn't want to get another Thinkpad just because I already owned one. I purchased a Thinkpad because it is simply the best laptop out there. I've had my notebook for 3 months now, and the thing I like best about it is the 'wow' factor when other people see what it can do. Never had a problem - no funny hangs, no power problems. I also dropped the laptop from about table height in the first week that I had it, and it just kept on going, no problems, no marks on the outside, no nothing. If you are someone who must have the best, then this is it.

Great Machine
This is a sweet machine, definitely a desktop replacement option. I would suggest this for office work. For home users I would suggest the R or the A series. I use this machine at work, and have an X series at home. I have been a laptop user for years, and these are the reasons why I chose the T-Series:
(1) The keyboard feel is the best there is out there, hands down
(2) best weight - 5lbs as opposed to others which can weigh as heavy as 8lbs (*cough* dell *cough*)
(3) a whole slew of interchangeable ultrabay options
(4) thinklight!
(5) build and quality

T Series Laptop by IBM
If you're looking for power and mobility with excellent quality, this laptop is definitely a great choice. IBM's laptop quality and service is why I've also standardized them as our company's laptops. I've been using various brands of laptops, including Dell, HP, and Compaq, and I still perfer the IBM T series. This laptop has more power than a typical user will need. This would be a great choice for any student or professional.

best notebook out there
Theres no doubt, this is the best laptop you could get. The 1.2 P3 is the ideal laptop processor, P4s are really unneccessary and consume a lot more power. The screen is bright and clear, although the SXGA resolution is taking some getting used to. I don't know who would need more than 48 gigs of hard drive space. The only thing it needs, or 2 things, are the CD-RW/DVD combo drive and at least 256MB ram. I'm looking to order another 256 DIMM to add to this, as 128 is a hindrancefor this otherwise extremely fast computer. Quality wise you can't beat it. You'll never find a better laptop that weighs 5.5 lbs. I got mine on [another website], manufacturer refurbished (so far as i can tell its brand new) for [cheaper price]. I have to say i don't think i'd pay [the price] for it though. Look around you can get them cheaper if you look in the right place.

I love it. It is a not too heavy to bring around and yet, it is fair sized. It's a great in between with a fairly big screen
