Casio has Crystals

(5 out of 5) by Bill McGlynn on Jul 20, 2002 (Westfield, NJ)
This company comes out with superb configuration for handheld TV's. The 2.5" screen model EV-570 is Casio's smallest TFT (LCD technology abbreviation) TV. The picture is very sharp and clear. Don't avoid buying this TV just because it doesn't have the cheapest price tag. I have enjoy watching the VCR through the audio/video jack right on my lap instead of the large TV screen. This handy size TV will be enjoyed both indoors and out.

Nice, Simple Machine

(4 out of 5) by ladyjanegray on Aug 24, 2002
I bought this to watch tapes while my partner sleeps. It hooks up easily to a VCR, gives a nice clear picture. I was able to read all the subtitles on my Kieslowski films with ease. And I liked the color I saw.

I do wish the AC adaptor was packaged with it, though. It requires four AAA batteries, and two nights viewing can run though those quickly.

Great Little TV

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 12, 2003
This is a great little TV. Since I live about 25 miles from the local TV stations/transmitters, I was worried about reception. However, the reception is great for both UHF and VHF stations. Yesterday I watched game 3 of Yankee - Red Sox playoffs from a hammock in the back yard. The game was broadcast on a Fox VHF station. I would have given this five stars, but the battery life is short - about 2+ hours. Oh, this unit takes 4 AAA batteries, not 3AA batteries as listed in the Amazon description.

Great little TV for the price.

(5 out of 5) by Mannix on Feb 16, 2005 (Buchanan, MI.)
If you're looking for something to catch the news while sneaking a smoke on the patio or watching the game as you return home from a weekend getaway, this fits the bill. At 2.5" the screen is perfect for individual viewing, very good picture and sound quality. Be sure and invest in rechargable batteries as 4 AAA will only last about 2.5 hours. Not the type of TV you'd want to or need to plug in, after all, it's a handheld and a perfect one for the price. By the way, showed it to some friends who went ga, ga, over it, now I know what to get them for their birthdays.

Great Picture, Great Sound, An Excellent Value

(5 out of 5) by Gingersnap on Dec 28, 2004 (Manchester, CT USA)
I was very impressed with the quality of the picture and sound. The picture was clear and sharp. I was very surprised with the amount of channels that this little TV was able to receive. It was able to receive all of the channels that air locally and even a few that I am unable to pick up on my non-cable TV. The only problem that I did notice was that when used in a vehicle it did get some interference from the engine but it was not purchased to use in a car so I do not forsee any problems. I definitely recommend purchasing rechargable batteries as it is a battery eater. I purchased this as a gift but was so impressed I am considering purchasing one for my self.
