Excellent Microphone for the Money

The microphone itself is a little "deaf" so you might want to hook it up to an audio mixer. I'd rather do that than adjust the audio control mixer on my Mac anyway. The microphone does an excellent job! I love the stand that's included with the unit. I purchased a disposable wind screen sock to put over the grill of the microphone to prevent the popping of "Ps" and "Ts." It does have an on/off switch, and has a 1/4" stereo adapter.
Would I use this microphone at a radio station or a recording studio? No. But it's at least ten steps above the cheap computer microphones you get at the store! This microphone would work very well for recording/producing podcasts, and if you were doing simple voiceovers or narrations.

Good Product for the Price
(5 out of 5) by D. Weir on Sep 14, 2009 (Huntingtown MD)We used this mic, attached to a camcorder, to record the opinions/reactions at our church's Vacation Bible School. The kids loved being interviewed. We showed the film at the closing ceremony. Sound was good. Mic picked up interviewee only, not the background noise. (There were 160 kids- a lot of background noise!) Good product for the price.

Good Product

The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because it is a mono mic and you have to make it stereo within software, but for it's price, it can't be beat.

It work great!
(5 out of 5) by Celtic Lady on May 23, 2009When my new software had trouble recognizing my usb mic, I was told I needed a more traditional mic - this little guy is awesome - works great - the sound is fantastic. It comes with equipped to plug into my computer as well as traditional audio components.

Great microphone for a karaoke system.
(5 out of 5) by Noname on Feb 3, 2009I needed a second microphone for our karaoke music stand. The sound quality of this microphone is perfect for our needs. It comes with a stand. I thought that was a tall microphone stand, but it's actually a little tiny desk stand that is in the picture. We didn't need that anyway, but just to let you know. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
