Good value, Great phone!

(5 out of 5) by Steve Clark on Dec 16, 2001 (Philly, Pa - USA)
This phone has great battery times, and has extremely good clarity. (...) Get this and you can have it for years to come. 2.4 Ghz band, and over 25 auto-selected channels. (...) The best feature is that it has rubber all over around it so I can drop it and it wont break. I have even spilled soda on it and nothing at all. Overall a great deal!

Excellent: Since 1997 & still works

This unit purchased in '97. It was new tech then. It has been dropped, chewed on & dragged (baby), dropped in the washer machine (wife) and immediately picked up. It is worn now, had never replaced its batteries. The sound quality is excellent, although walls are concrete. I can talk from base easily 80-100 ft. I would buy another Panasonic Gigaphone again. No doubt. I paid +/- $180 then & it has lasted 8 yrs.

Avoid This Phone!

(1 out of 5) by Felicia Roche on Apr 19, 2002 (Alameda, CA USA)
Seems like we go through these cordless phones every year. I've used a lot of them and this Panasonic is one of the worst ever! BEWARE the horrible feature of the call-waiting interrupt tone that renders your conversations usless while it alerts you 3 times a call is coming in.

Second major problem is the keypad. After some moderate use the keypad hardly works. Many of the numbers require either a light or heavy touch to get them to work. In this day of passcodes and entering numbers you will be very frustrated when you can't do it correctly with this phone.

Battery has been sporadic and below average. Programming is poor. For the money you can do a whole lot better. I will probably never buy another Panasonic phone based on this and previous experiences. Good Luck!
