Great for the Ceiling!

Instructions were very straight forward and the design of the speaker mount is great and very secure. Nice sounding tweeter and good mids. Even though the specifications say the lows go down to 40k or so, don't expect thundering bass. I was so pleased with the results that I'm ordering another set for an upstairs location in my home.

Better Bass
(4 out of 5) by J. A Harring on Jul 10, 2004 (Fla)One very good thingthe listener who was dissappointed in the bass response could do is ensure there is an acousitcal enclosure on the back side. If the back of the speaker vents into a large space, such as an attic, a lot of bass will be lost there. I use fiberglass and boxes to create a little chamber, works well, once you get the hang of it.

AudioSource Rocks

I will put them againts speakers costing 3x as much. These are being used with (Polk Audio) 2000 Towers & Center 400csi. (And AudioSource holding their own). Good work AudioSource

Not such a great deal
(2 out of 5) by Craig on Feb 29, 2004 (Virginia)I purchased a pair of IW6S speakers 3 months ago so I could listen to music in my kitchen and living room. They seemed like a good deal and I was not looking for great sound from them, just decent background music. Unfortunately, I am disappointed by their total lack of bass and poor sound quality. I was not expecting booming bass but a 6 1/2 inch speaker should produce at least a minimal amount of bass. If I had to do it over again, I would spend a little more money and get a much better speaker

Simple installation and good sound for the money
(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 11, 2002I just installed these speakers in the walls in my family room and they work very well. The sound, if not perfect, is good enough for any type of entertaining. I have played rock (The Cars) as well and instrumental music (George Winston) on them and reproduced the sounds very well with just a little less bass (all I had to do was turn the bass up a little on the reciever, and they sounded fine).
I recomend these speakers.
