Worst quality of sound ever heard

Don't bother to go near this phone, unless you want to use this as a answering machine. Handset continously looses connection with base unit and makes wierd noises while talking.

Answering machine functionality is OK. Sometimes it wouldn't even show the caller ID.

Worst phone ever

(1 out of 5) by Linda Van Den Eeden on Jun 9, 2005
Don't buy this phone..it's useless. The first phone lasted 9 months. It was replaced by the manufacturer with the same model. It has worked fine for 2 years..and now nothing. Replaced the batteries, no good. Can't make a call, makes a lot of noise on the receiver...people can't call me...what a waste of money this was...I threw it away.

Worked for a year

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 25, 2004
This phone was good for about 1 year. Now, the receiver doesn't work properly. I can hear the person on the other end, but they can't hear me. It's become an answering machine.

Handy and easy to use

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 14, 2003
I ordered this because of the special price and also because I had an AT&T answering machine (without the phone) so I thought it would be easy for me to use. This answering machine is actually easier than my old one. A voice instructs you on how to set it up and use it. The buttons are very straightforward. I read another review which criticized the sound quality and I wonder if that person got a defective phone. Mine works well and I have no problem with the volume (there is a button on the answering machine console to turn the volume up or down). The cordless phone also works well. I think this is a real bargain.
