I have had my GE 29893GE1 phone for almost four years. I have moved from Arizona to Oregon and now am up in Washington. This phone has really taken a beating and like a Timex, It keeps on Clicking.
In addition, I am severly hard of hearing and I can use the speaker phone with no problems at all. Well except if the party on the other end is talking too fast.
I strongly recommend this product.

I purchased this product in January of this year, and was pretty pleased with it at first, except for the quality of the digital voice. However, recently, after a severe electrical storm, the machine keeps saying "memory full", even though I have deleted all messages. I followed the recorded instructions I received when I called the customer service number, but nothing has worked. I'm ready to retun it, and purchase a completely different machine.

After six months the answering machine doesn't work.

Again, my phone has been great. I only give it a four out of five stars for it having that silly "missed call" light (the light you see just right of the display)... when that light goes on you have to know the trick to making it go off, outside of that I love the phone, and the buttons are large and easy to use... also the hand set is of a very good quality, and the phone will sound great to those you speak with!

I say go for it!!!

My wife purchased this phone in a pinch thinking that GE is a good name in electronic products. The only reliable feature left on this phone is that we can dial a phone number and receive phone calls. We are not always guaranteed a clear transmission due to transient clicks, radio singnals, music, and static from outer space. I have never been able to leave a phone message because it says it is always full. Why havewe keep it? God only knows. Our faith has waned anf we will purcahse a new phone.
