So great, I bought a second one!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 27, 2002
This is a great caller ID phone and digital answering machine! It functions very well - just as advertised. When I needed to replace it (because it had been thrown across the room - it's a long story) - I bought another one. I highly recommend it!

Where's the speakerphone?

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 17, 2002
After four or five days, the speakerphone volume would suddenly grow faint and we could not hear our caller nor adjust the volume, so we returned the phone.

Worst possible product

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 25, 2002
It doesn't get much worse than this. I wish the product would have not worked at all. Then at least I would have returned it. The phone works OK, but only after a while did we find out that the answering machine is only storing about 30 seconds of voice, before it states, Memory Full...

Tinny sound quality and static

(2 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 21, 2002 (Westfield, MA USA)
I purchased this phone with high expectations and was disappointed by the tinny sound quality of both recorded and incoming messages. But the main problem is the HUGE amount of static on incoming messages. I've tried this phone in other outlets and other locations and it seems to be a problem within the phone. Needless to say, it's going back to the store ASAP.

Had this phone almost 10 years!

(5 out of 5) by Island Halfbreed on Feb 7, 2007 (The South)
I've had this phone since I was in college and I am online looking for a new one only because after 10 yrs, the phone line is started to sound garbled. But when this phone was manufactured, backlights and some of the other bells and whistles were not a hot commodity.
I am sorry others have had a poor experience; maybe those phones were re-furbished/re-manufactured but I have had NONE of the issues mentioned previously with voicemail or sound quality. I still have voicemails on my phone from May of 2005!! So the memory is not an issue. I've even moved since 05 and the phone still housed the messages (I save a job promotion voicemail as incentive and motivation - just a side note) ANYHOW, again - had the phone since 1997, no issues. Only replacing b/c now I get a low buzz sound in the phone but what should I expect after 10 yrs?
This is an all in one phone; very convenient and RELIABLE!
