Stopped playing after 6 months!!

(1 out of 5) by Jason Babcock on Nov 1, 2002 (Southern Cali)
After having this for 6 months the Cd's just stopped playing. First thought it was the batteries. But then it just STOPPED. I was totally [...]!! I paid [...] bucks. Plus headphones were too bulky when working out at the gym. Buttons weren't easy to push so I had to keep pulling out of my case. Disappointed.

Very Impressed

(5 out of 5) by James on Feb 12, 2002 (Rhode Island)
My girlfriend and I both bought a "joggable" cd player that we could use while running. She bought the AIWA and I got a Panasonic (my third). It turns out that my Panasonic skipped when I used the belt clip and it only played when I held it in my hand. I gave the Aiwa a try and I was very impressed. Using a CD player sports pouch, I never experienced any skipping. Even while holding it the grip is very sturdy, the Panasonic felt like it could slip from my hand. I really like the control buttons, the rubber feel, size, and placement is perfect. They are easy to find when I reach into the pouch to adjust volume or change stations/music.
I returned the panasonic to Best Buy (they have a great replacement plan) and bought the AIWA. At first the style of headphones was a bit awkward and I considered replacing with a more familiar type. I'm glad that I did't though because once I compared sound quality I was hooked. These headphones are perfectly matched for this player, I get the impression that some thinking actually went into the quality of headphones that should be included.
There are many other features that are included and are explained in other reviews here. I wish I had read these reviews prior to making any purchase.

Looks like it has everything

(4 out of 5) by Michael S. McCarthy on Dec 17, 2001 (Flemington, NJ United States)
I bought this as a present and it seems to be everything I was looking for, but my one question is why no clip to attach while jogging, and where is the sport pouch? I don't see one included.

Great Cd player, with 1 problem

(4 out of 5) by Andrew Wolfson on Jan 14, 2002 (Boca Raton, Fl USA)
I would give this product 4 1/2 stars if possible. It has everything I want in a portable Cd player: radio, shuffle play, shows time remaining on track. However, it seems to use up your batteries in an instant. I put in the latest energizer batteries one day and about 2 1/2 days later the power is gone. I only use it when going to school and waiting at the bank with my mom. Besides that however, It is an excellent product.
