Update to my first review.
This machine has a paper jam of 10 pages for every 1 page it actually prints. I am so disgusted with this product with my only recourse is having Panasonic send out a new (refurbished) machine, though I don't expect any different performance. It's just a BAD DESIGN.

jams & more jams
I purchased this machine several months back & have paper jams on most faxes I have attempted to send. Finally, thinking the problem is with this individual machine, I exchanged for an identical (KX FP151) machine - encouraged by the store clerk's comment that she is not aware of significant complaints regarding this model - and have had the same experience with the replacement (new) machine! My conclusion: design problems.

Small Home Office
I bought this fax machine about six months ago and the main problem I have had is that when I'm trying to send a fax that is more than two pages long (the manual says ten pages can be fed automatically), the fax machine will pull several pages at a time, so I have to feed one page at a time. I have not had any problems receiving faxes.

Very Disappointed!
I decided to purchase this fax machine after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I don't know if I received a defective machine or what, but it will not auto-receive and I cannot even send a fax without first unplugging and plugging it back in again. I am also pretty disappointed with the quality of the faxes and copies; it reminds me of the quality of faxes many years ago when the technology was new. This machine is getting exchanged ASAP.

CANNOT RECOVER THE FAXES!
I bought the Panasonic KX-FP151 6 months ago, and it beeps all the time, until I realized that the "cover open" signal was on and how kind of it to "store my fax in memory" only to learn that I would never see my important fax. Apparently a plastic tab inside the cover had snapped off... According to the technician at 1-800-HELP-FAX (very helpful indeed!) my unit was "out of warranty" only six month warranty, but on the ... web site page when I purchased it, it says 1 year warranty. The fax worked well until the plastic tab broke. Poor workmanship. I only opened the cover two times to change the ink ribbon. I will not purchase Panasonic products again. The machine was a good bargain, but what is the point if I have to purchase one every 6 months. Is this considered a "disposable" fax machine? I know they make disposable cameras.
What a good idea! Be sensible and reconsider.
