Good but lousy radio reception

(4 out of 5) by James Urquhart on Jan 19, 2002 (Black Rock, CT United States)
This little system has great sound but the FM reception is lousy. I work in NYC and work in Howard Stern's building. However, the reception of the radio station that he transmits on (92.3) is intermittent. My little ...radio picked it up no problem.

CD sounds good though and the system looks very smart sitting on my desk......

Had it for over a month now and the QSound signal processing (some type of phase shift) works fine for some songs but tends to accentuate certain instruments. For example, the lead guitar thats set to image from both speakers is drowned out by the keyboard that is favoring the right speaker. In some cases, the vocals get drowned out. Also the volume control is kinda fiddly. ...

Great looking but unreliable

I have had thi sunit for 3 months and have used it lightly. Now the CD player is hissing and skipping unexplainably.

Good looking unit, good sound

Nice system for the price. Easy to set up and use. Sounds very good in the basement.

This is a great little stereo

(4 out of 5) by Lisa on Jun 12, 2001 (West Allis, WI USA)
I wore out my little boom box playing cd's. I needed a new one. I began my search looking for small stereo systems. This was my favorite based on looks as well as price. It doesn't have that cold techno look. Not that that matters but it was my favorite. I was worried though about the low wattage per channel. However the sound is crystal clear. Even loud. It does get loud although you'll never rattle the windows with this stereo. With two young kids though I didn't need that. I want to listen to music not show off. This stereo did not dissappoint me. I don't recommend this for any of the sub-woofer buffs who like to thump the windows and make sure everyone in the neighborhood can hear what they are listening to but for everyone else this is a great little music machine.
