Zooming in to the internet with V.92
The Zoom Telephonics V.92/V.44 modem is an exceptional product designed to support the growing world of multimedia. If you are still connecting to the web with a 56K modem or lower speed this is the modem upgrade you have been waiting for. With V.80 support for Video and voice conferencing this is the modem you need to use with your web cam. The V.92 standard outperforms the V.90 and it combines this with V.44 to meet compression standards for faster connections and downloads.
Zoom Telephonics also makes us of the newest techology in digital communications with a DSP chip onboard. Plus they back this all with a remarkable 7 year warrenty and (Zoom Guard)lightning protection.
As a Quality Manager (no association with Zoom)for the leading company in Voice over IP Switch manufactuing; I can attest to the fine workmanship and quality product provided by Zoom Telephonics in the 3025

Great Modem Agere 3025...L
I was looking for a V92 with Modem On Hold that really worked. What I got with the 3025 was excellent speed for a dialup and MOH that worked flawlessly. I believe both the Agere 3025-00-00L and Conexant 3025-00-00C chips were used in this model. I have another machine using the Conexant chip and MOH functions are not dependable. I would definitely recommend the Agere based modem.
Hardware ok, not sure about software
The modem installed and was recognized just fine. I'm still trying to figure out the software interface (but I haven't spent too much time on it). So far I haven't been able to experience it working properly. It also keeps saying that caller ID (screening) is not available. Yet the modem shows to support it (there's a box it allowed me to check). I'm trying to use it on my main phone line (I use DSL to connect, not dial-up) to be able to send/receive faxes thru the computer. I want to make sure it's going to work correctly. I'm not convinced, at this point.
Does all at Great Price
Went in without a hitch. Still on V.90 line and performance over the previous TelePath with X2 by US Robotronic is improved. Can't go wrong for the price.
Good Performance, [inexpensive] Price
I needed a new modem to replace the US Robotics that died in my windows 98 machine. I bought the Zoom model 3025. It claims to have "lightning protection" which is how my old one died. Hopefully I won't have to test that functionality. I have no technical experience, but this modem was very easy to install and run. It took me less than 10 minutes to install. The connection speeds have been consistently stable and fast, it has V.92 and V.44 for increased speed, and the price was [inexpensive]. If you're going to stay with 56K instead of broadband, then this is a good deal.
