Superb Quality and Sound

(5 out of 5) by Ollie CC on Dec 4, 2001 (Marlboro, NJ USA)
The main reason I bought this item was for its 60+1 cd changer and over 330 watts of pure 5.1 dolby digital dvd-experience bliss. It really seems as though you are getting movie theater-quality surround sound. The system itself is sleek and has a techno-look. The subwoofer bass is also impressive, while the keyboard connection is great for sorting your cd connection.

Although there is no s-video connection, the wiring is a little short, and some of the interface is confusing, this is a great system for any game player or avid movie watcher.

Good For Music

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 23, 2003
Although it has the capability, I've never really used my system's surround for games or movies, the few occasions I have, it's worked great. I bought it because I listen to a lot of music, all types across the board, and this stereo makes them all sound excellent. It has good full range coverage and I would recommend it to anyone who wants high sound quality.

Sounds and looks great

(5 out of 5) by Erzengel des Lichtes on Jul 7, 2002 (United States)
I bought this for 2 reasons: 5.1 surround sound and looks great. I wanted the full surround sound for my computer system, but I didn't want those dinky things that are called computer surround sound systems. So When I found this, I loved it. I hooked my computer through the DVD input, and the sound is absolutely stunning. I absolutely love it.

Amazing Sound for Cheap Price

(5 out of 5) by A. Morales on Jan 26, 2007 (San Francisco, CA USA)
I have owned a number of Sony audio products, from car stereo to studio headphones to home theater stereos like this one. It's a shame this unit is no longer in production, because it is by far the best home stereo I have ever had the privilege to listen to. To put it simply, this baby cranks. Audio is very clear, especially from direct sources like CD or Digital Input. There are a number of inputs of varying format, so you can route everything from your tv to an mp3 player through the system, given the right cables. The subwoofer puts out a lot of bass for its size, and the main speakers are incredibly responsive.

The only problem I've run across is the lack of direct customization of the equalizer, and that choosing certain presets limits the speakers sound is being sent to, but with a little tweaking it's possible to get amazing sound pumping through all four speakers.

If there's any way to get a hold of this incredible system, I definitely recommend it.
