Excellent sound, easy use

(5 out of 5) by K. Pryne on Jan 2, 2006 (Santa Rosa, CA United States)
I've had these headphones for several years. They work very well with the TV and the sound quality is far superior to the TV speakers and excellent in its own right. The batteries last several days. I'm completely satisfied.

Headphones' rubber gripper disintegrates

(1 out of 5) by Review Writer on Sep 4, 2005 (Richmond, VA USA)
There is one thing that I have not seen mentioned here that will make it very difficult to use these headphones -- the rubber gripper that holds the headphones on your head (without them slipping down) disintegrates over time.

I have not had my Jensen JW160 headphones that long but that gripper has already broken into several pieces. So now when I put them on my head they just slide down. The earpieces are then down around my neck.

I don't know whether this is a problem with all headphones but it is definitely something to consider when buying these headphones.

I got them for $20

(4 out of 5) by Mark S on Mar 25, 2005 (Texas)
Based on the deal I got, $20, I can't complain. I have an average size head, 7 1/4 but I can see how they are tight on the ears and could be more comfortable. I simply slide them forward so they are more on my temples. I wore them for 3 hours with no annoyance. The reception was good once I dialed them in and haven't re-adjusted them yet. I walked around the house and out to the street and didn't lose clarity. I did lose it when I had 3 walls, 2 drywall and 1 brick but I don't plan on listening to tv out in the driveway often. For the money they were worth it and I can stay up and not bother the sleeping kid or wife.

Pretty Decent with TV

(4 out of 5) by C. Fisher on Dec 30, 2004 (NM, USA)
Not sure about range - I go outside with them but can't go real far. Receiver is sitting on the tv. I've had them for some time. Only complaint I have is that the AAA Rechargeable batteries I have won't work in them. I haven't tried lithium batteries, but I plan to. For the price, they do a pretty good job.

Good quality to dollar value!

(4 out of 5) by Carl Gibson on Jan 30, 2004 (Georgia, USA)
After reading some reviews I was skeptical but all I wanted them for was to sit at my desk in studio since strereos, or out loud playing of music, is against policy. I figured these would get the job done and wasn't expecting much. WOW, was I suprised! I love my music and I got much better sound quality than I expected for the money I spent. However, like all inexpensive product, the Jensen Wireless Headphones takes a while to tune into the right frequency and requires very fine tuning across a very wide band to get superior sound quality. If you want to save the money and get these, be prepared to have patience before enjoying at full potential. I give it 4 stars!
