Clear as a bell!

(5 out of 5) by Sheila Azzara on Apr 26, 2003 (Orange, CA United States)
Even after reading the reviews that were not so good, I decided to buy the Jensen wireless headphones because Target is so good about their return policy. I have to tell you that I am very sensitive to "noise static" but found these headphones clear as a bell. The trick is in tuning them properly. Read directions (obviously the previous people didn't) and you will have a headset that is comfortable and extremely clear!

Avoid them

(1 out of 5) by I. Hunter on Jan 13, 2002 (USA)
I purchased these headphones because they claimed a better than 60 dB signal to noise ratio. As soon as you try them it is immediately clear that this claim is false. These headphones have an unacceptably high noise level. Avoid them!

Sounds good, uncomfortable.

(3 out of 5) by Aaron St John on Jan 8, 2002 (Seattle)
These headphones sound really nice, and the open air design is convenient if you want to be able to hear outside sounds. However, after an hour or so of wearing them, they get rather uncomfortable. The speakers sit right against the ears, and push against them in way that becomes painfull.

Absolute junk. Impossible to keep in tune. Don't waste your money on these.

Meets My Expectations

I was not looking to buy this product but received it as a Christmas gift so I did not have high expectations. My sister bought it for me because I tend to want the TV louder than those around me. For that purpose it is excellent. I don't wear the head phones much over an hour so I have never experienced any discomfort. I find an added bonus is that I can travel around the house and still maintain contact with the TV, especially during a sporting event in or the news. I live in a 100 year old, 3 story house and have pretty clear reception throughout even on the porch. Yes, there is the occasional drop out of the signal, but only momentary. For my purpose it would not be worth any more money for the difference in quality. I have also used it to listen to CD's throughout the house and, because music quality isn't the highest priority in my life, this product is quite acceptable. PS. - (...)
