Amazing!
(5 out of 5) by Jose Eduardo da Rocha Azevedo on Jul 6, 2001 (São Paulo, SP Brazil)Small, nice looking, cleverly designed, full featured, plays CDs, CDRs, CDRWs, AM/FM, DVDs with DTS and DD 5.1 sound, has a subwoofer that shakes my sofa, power enough to bore my neighbors, fidelity enough to make me think someone is entering the room while it's actually one of the DD 5.1 channels in action. The image is top, specially on the Cinema mode. Hard to beat. The DVD mechanism is fast enough to make everything mostly instantaneous (loading, navigating, chapter changes). I've searched a lot before buying (Sony DAV S300, 2 models from Panasonic, Onkio) and am sure I picked the best. It saved me lots of space (sold my stereo mini-system and my previous Pioneer DV 414), looks as any overpriced DVD (it's not progressive scan, though), sounds as goos as many component systems I could have added to my previous DVD/TV. Couldn't be happier. Join the club.
Good product with problems
