After 4.5 years with this JVC,the tube died. we are not the kind of people who trade-up with every new innovation -- we just expect that $900 will get us a TV that lasts longer than a toaster oven. This product was not under warranty and while we didn't expect JVC to replace the set, we did expect some kind of accomodation with respect to replacement parts. JVC refused to stand behind its product and told us that we are SOL. I won't buy another JVC and I hope you don't either. Stick with a Sony (our old set is still around and going strong).

What a great TV! Spend the extra $ and buy the flat screen it makes all the difference. The picture quality is incredible even with standard cable. Tried digital cable for awhile and the picture is even better. One problem is with using the AV-Compu Link and composite video to my JVC DVD player and receiver, the input does not automatically change to input2 it stays on input1, I have to manually change it. Also the picture turns black and white until I change the input. It's probably my lack of knowledge on how to hook it up properly not the TV itself. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please email me. Other than that it has been a stellar performer. For those of you considering buying this TV, find the lowest price online then print it out and goto Sears. They matched the lowest price I found online and provided free delivery and also financed it for 6months at 0%. A+++++
