Not so bad

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 11, 2001 (Columbus, OH)
I don't own this camera, but a friend of mine let me borrow his. Recently my digital camera was stolen, and the pictures came out oh-so-much better then my blury pictures on that old cheap camera. I think I just may purchase one of my own. Hey maybe it's a good idea the other one was stolen. The price is not bad, better then what my friend paid. So if you are looking for some nice quality pictures at an affordable price, this is the camera for ya. The software is decent, and there's downloadable drivers - so if you misplace your original software, just go to the site. :)

Fuzzy images

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 23, 2002
I recently bought this camera for my 5 year old and I can't take
a good picture with it. I have made sure the lens was clean, I
use a tripod and the camera's self timer(to eliminate shake), and
I have tried all kinds of lighting (even full sun light). I also
used my nikon coolpix800 on vga mode (same resolution as the
polaroid) with the basic quality (super high jpeg compression).
The images from the nikon were 1/3 the file size of the polaroid
images and the quality is far better. The nikon images are
sharper even though the jpg compression is greater. The
polaroid images are all blurry.

The Best Camera - The Best Price

(5 out of 5) by Mike Keenan on Oct 10, 2001 (Staten Island, Ny)
I've purchased this camera refurbished and its great. The pictures are very good quality, the LCD screen is a little fuzzy but you an see how your picture came out its not bad. This is the cheapest camera with an LCD screen. I reccomend this so much. I started with a Jamcam - great pictures, but no LCD screen and sometimes the pictures would be horrible. I figured for my trip to north carolina, I would enjoy a better way to get my pictures processed - DO it myself, With a better camera! I bought the Ink, the picture paper, and boy this camera rocks! I haven't gone to N.C yet but everyday i always find someway to use my camera.
Another Great feature is the software, it has the greatest options and is just as fun as the camera. Another great feature is its auto shut off, where if you forget to turn off the camera it shuts itself off. Another feature is the battery life, even with the LCD color screen, the batterys last very long. This is a very good quality camera, not an expensive one , and definity worth the price. I GIVE THIS CAMERA 5 stars!

Disappointed! :(

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 20, 2002
This camera was handed down to me, because it didn't work on my brother's computer, which uses windowsXP. Beware... It will not work with windowsXP. Well, I was very excited, because I already owned a PolaroidPDC640, which always gave me great pictures. I was very disappointed when I saw the quality of pictures this camera took. They are all blurry. It's almost looks like their is something smeared on the lens. I cleaned the lens, but still no improvement. If you want clear, crisp pictures... I do not recommend this camera, not even for online viewing. This one is going to my 6yr old.

Perhaps the worst digital camera one could ever own

(1 out of 5) by Abigail Nussey on Apr 28, 2002 (Boston University)
I would like to emphasize my vehement title all the more by stating that I have only had my camera under a year and have used it to perhaps produce only about three dozen images or so, and it has already 'gone kaput' on me. That's right, it turns out that the plates which transmit the current created with the battery are highly corrosive, and one slightly leaky battery finished the thing off.

But don't think that I'm warning you off simply because of an 'assualt of battery,' as it were. The camera was a piece of junk from the get-go --- the images were incredibly poorly resolved, and good luck if you wanted to take any pictures at night outdoors. Or indoors during the day, for that matter. Or anywhere, at any time, with any lighting, for that matter. It takes the camera about a full minute to focus, and even then any nearby lightsource will create horrendous glares. The only thing 'fun' about this camera was perhaps the software that came with it --- although it proved that I needed software of such editing caliber if I was going to try to produce an image that actually looked like anything. The price might seem 'right' to you, but I assure it you it isn't worth the extra twenty bucks it would take to buy a 'real' camera.
