The BA4800s are one of the best 4.1 speakers available.

Apr 8, 2001 - By Amazon Customer (San Francisco, CA USA)

I did plenty of research before buying this set of speakers. I use it mainly for games and music with an occasional DVD. At $129 these speakers are a steal. They rival the Klipsch 4.1 system but are only a fraction of the cost. I was also considering the Creative 2500s but I found these to fit my needs more since the 5.1 system is mainly for DVDs. In my opinion, the BA4800s are better than the Altecs and Creative speakers. The only 4.1 speakers better are the Klipschs and the videologic crossfires. You should check that site out before any speaker purchases.

My my my, these are loud.

May 5, 2001 - By Gary burningham (Logan,Utah United States)

In my search for satisfying computer speakers I searched around, originally I was going to go with the the new klipsch but while searching around on the... forums I saw a post about these speakers. So I did some research and listened to the klipsch speakers which are sweet speakers. In the end I decided to get the ba4800's in stead of the klipsch. I can verify that I was in no way dissapointed these speakers are way underpriced for the pure sound quality and volume that they put out. Their price is so awesome, comparetively they are...less than the klipsch and come oh so close to performing as good as the klipsch.

Great sound and outstanding customer service

Mar 30, 2005 - By Digital music fan (San Francisco, CA)

These are the nicest sounding computer speakers I've heard under several hundred dollars. You'll learn how your MP3 files really sound (which may not be such a good thing if you have poor-quality MP3s). A good sound card like the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz or an M-Audio card will make these shine.

I had a problem with my system (faulty front speaker) and the company replaced it free (even shipping!) even though it was out of warranty. A really classy company, they've made me a loyal customer.

AWESOME! SOUND

Jul 24, 2001 - By Amazon Customer

These speakers are great. I don't know much about speakers but I do know what a great speakers sound like. If you like Super SOUND get this system.

Note: You need two audio inputs for these speakers to work properly. Or you can buy an adapter for your machine.

Even w/o surround, they kick!

Dec 14, 2001 - By techcommdood (Clifton Park, NY United States)

I have the non-surround set - got them as an upgrade when I bought my PC. They are crisp, clean, and man, they crank! I have yet to turn them up louder than half-way. The subwoofer is very tight for PC speakers - not as tight as a high-end home system, but I'm extremely happy with it for PC use - not muddy at all like a lot of PC subwoofers.

I use my PC speaker system to listen to MP3s while working and when I have the time, when gaming. Age of Empires II never sounded so good! :)

I really enjoy this system, and I will definitely buy Boston speakers again (if needed - I plan on keeping this system as long as possible).
