WOW!

(5 out of 5) by David G. Nelson on May 10, 2001 (DANE, WI United States)
This TV rocks! The picture quality is outstanding for DVD's and even regular old Cable TV. I've only been using the S-Video input upto this point for DVD, and the picture is terrific, can't wait to get the color stream hooked up. The sound is very solid, there are several sound variables that you can adjust to your liking. I generally run sound through my stereo though. I compared this unit with it's Sony counterpart in the store and was blown away by how much better this unit was... you actually get more for your money with the Toshiba. You really have to see it to believe it. It is a very good looking too, it looks cool, when it's not even on!

Great TV

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 11, 2001
I purchased this TV in July 2001. I entered the store thinking that the flat screen TV's were overpriced and not worth the extra money. I intended to buy a 27 inch TV. However, after looking at the difference in picture quality between the standard sets and the flat screen, I was easily swayed to the flat screen. I also considered the Sony, but the Toshiba had the best picture quality out of the four brands offering flat screen pictures. I compromised and purchased a smaller flat screen television (24") because of the price. I am very pleased with this set and have received numerous compliments from my friends who have come over to watch TV and DVD's.

Pure Flat television

(5 out of 5) by Lucas L. Vega on Apr 20, 2001 (Caguas, Puerto Rico)
Pros: This TV has an excellent picture and sound. It has sufficient connections for satellite, DVD, and VCR. I have one in the bedroom and now find it boring to look at the other TV in the family room. It has a higher volume than the rest of the TV's in the house.

Cons: Instruction booklet is not too great, it specifies how to connect a DVD/VCR, but not how to connect just a DVD. It turns in to a guessing game since it is not specific.

Excellent value for your money

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 22, 2001 (Ottawa, Canada)
Its better than the Sony and much cheaper. The picture is excellent and once you connect the DVD, its amazing. Sound is good but a little better speakers would have been good. Bottom line best value for your money compared to all other manufacturers. Remote is preety good too.
