Good, but kinda a waste ofthe extra money.
Yeah, yeah, it works better with the the fancy black dye, but it dosen't work on my Phillips DVD players and loads slower on older cd players. Besides it only comes in 50packs.

They are black
The only thing i do not like about them is that if you forget to label your cdr, you can not tell if you wrote to them based off of light bouncing off of the "tracks".
Other then that execelent quality, not a bad burn yet. They seem thicker then my previous memorex pack.

I never use anything but the memorex Black cdr's
I feel they are the best cdr's. there is definetly a noticable difference in audio quality compared to other cdr's, they sound great. They are rated for 100 years. The black underside looks hot, makes them look more professional than those cheesy green and light blue color cdr's, plus the black coating protects the cd from sunlight and from the laser,it also makes them more scratch resistant. I guess thats why they are rated to last so long. I cant stand to use any other cd's but these black memorex so I hope they will always be around.

Once you go black, you will never go back!
They are the best CD-Rs I have ever used. I burn 4 or 5 CDs every day. These are trouble free every time. They record at the rated speed, and don't give you any errors. What else can I say. I will never buy anything else. They don't seem to work in some Toshiba laptops though. Mabye the laser is the wrong color to see through the black media.

Great deal for colored CDRs, not to mention black
Colored CDRs tend to be sold at a slight premium over regular (that is bluish-greenish-not-quite-silverish) CDRs, mostly in part due to their eye-catching appeal and minimum decoration needed as CDR gifts. Black CDRs within the colored CDR spectrum are most popular, also in part due to their identical appearance to Playstation CDs. This is definitely a great deal, being not much more expensive than regular CDRs.
Imagine your friends receiving a mix CD from you that looks like it's carved from black onyx...or something. Definitely one of a kind.
It's pretty interesting (and completely irrelevant) that this is the #3 purchase at Hotmail Corp, as of this review... hmmm.
