Just About Up To Voodoo Standards

(4 out of 5) by John Hoang on Nov 22, 2000 (Allentown, PA)
This video card is excellent. It has the quality of a Voodoo3, but for a lesser price. My cousin has a Voodoo3 2000 and his graphics are just as good as mine. ... . Big difference in price... but very little difference in quality and 3D graphics. Overall, I'd get this card and not the Voodoo3.

All I gotta say is, WOW!

I own a AMD K6 3Dnow 733mhz processor powered computer with Windows ME and 256 megabytes of DDR SDRAM, with two 40gigabytes hard disk's with a 44x cd-rw, Creative lab's Sound Blaster Live Plantinum 5.1, And a 10/100 ethernet network card with a 56k v.92 integrated card modem. I used to have a 4mb ATI Rage 3D 2x AGP/PCI compatible graphics card powering my computer. ALL my 3-D application games used to run [badly]with high details. For all I know, there was even GRAPHICAL errors and problems. My 3-D games were no fun until I got this card :). When I installed it fully and completey, I could even notice a difference at the desktop. It looked much better and smoother.

I own these 3-D applications:

Half-Life
Unreal
Unreal Tournament
Half-Life: Counter Strike
Quake II
Quake III Arena
Klingon Academy
Dominion Wars
Descent 3
Indiana Jones and the infernal machine
MDK2
WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: Collectors Edition
And a few others...

They all used to run [badly]. REALLY. Until I got this new TNT 2. Now all my older 3-D applications run like the charm, and the new ones are very playable at lowest settings, playable at medium settings, and barely playable at highest settings. Thankfully they work better and look better now, though. This card rocks and is awesome. This card is legendary and truly shows what 3-D graphics is all about, at a lower price than the equal quality and performance powered Voodoo 3. Heh heh.

Another point for the NVIDIA corporation.
