I bought this because of another review- it is totally great. I have't had any problems at all. It installed quickly and without any problems. The software that comes with it is also great. Quality is great. You get more than you pay for!!!

best price you can get at its level of quality

Sep 22, 2001 - By jchilst (Jacksonville, FL USA)

I searched hard for a great scanner I didn't have to much money to spend. I found this at only $...!!! Looked at the reviews, and confirmed that this is worth it. At this price, this is great scanning quality!

Later I noticed that in some magazine they rated scanner's like I thought this is the best quality at such a low price. This is easy to install. Has many color, and deminshion options. Haven't had any problem and had it for almost a year.

If you are looking for a low priced scanner this is perfect for you. If thinking of buying it online you should use amazon.com (like I did). To make sure something like this gets shipped right.

Works great

May 9, 2001 - By Robert Turner (Baltimore, MD USA)

Just a plug for the scanner - I just ordered one but it's not yet received. Rated the only best buy by 5/01 Consumer Reports for 600 DPI scanners - they loved it. I'll check back in once I've got it set up.

Addendum: 11/21/01 - I'm perfectly happy with it; nice quality.

I wish I could find one-new! I desparately would love to have one, but I'm afraid it's too late now to get a new one.

Great Quality Easy-Install Scanner

Nov 14, 2000 - By Prof David T Wright (Vancouver, BC)

My 4th Scanner in about 6 years (others Epson, Mustek, UMAX)- this Agfa was the quickest to set-up (plug in after boot-up with USB), install software (good Agfa ScanWise, also Corel Print Office and Readiris OCR), and produce quality scans for web.

Specs- 600x1200 optical (then interpolated to 9600 dpi), full page (US), 36 bit, USB I/F, PC/Mac compatible, win 98/2000/Me/Mac OS, quick scan, bit tacky lid, "iMac-colour inserts", lightweight. Reassuringly, no crashes so far (PC with 128 MB RAM).

Overall, great value, no problems, with great quick quality scans.
