I finally took the plunge and bowed before the behemoth, version 6.0. What a truly enjoyable artistic tool this is. I use a Canon D30 and take LOTS of photos, so I needed a program with substance and reasonable learning curve. Although I doubt I could ever master it, Adobe Photoshop is inherently logical. Superb software.

If you do any kind of computer graphics then you should have this program. Its without a doubt the best image editing software on the planet, and with this newest version it gets even better. When I first got into this latest release I noticed that they made some cosmetic changes to the layout. They added some more buttons on the top of the screen, which really helps save time searching around for certain functions, and of course you can customize this if you like. From what I have seen so far from using this is that there really isn't anything significantly new. There is a new style function which you can stylize layers, but I'm not exactly sure what use this has besides being able to create tacky logos :) If this was just an upgrade you are thinking of over v5.0 or 5.5 I would try out the demo before buying it, because there really isn't a drastic improvement, at least for what I use it for. But, if you have never owned a copy of Photoshop, theres no better time to get this than the present.

If your into doing simple things for websites like me, this is the way to go. Easily create dazzling effects by simply selecting which part of the image you would like to add a filter too, then click and wallah!

This program definetly needs Eye Candy 4000 to accompany it.

As a professional web designer, I rely on Photoshop daily to make life easier. If you are expecting to purchase this product for the first time and get immediate results, forget it. It will frustrate you. It takes time to master the tool. It's easy to master if you have the patience to learn. Otherwise, don't waste your time. You'd be better off with a purchase of more user friendly software that is less expensive.

Nothing can match the photo enhancement this product has. The tools are easy to use and the filters are still amazing. Adding third party filters is easy and worth the effort.

Again, this is a professional tool so only purchase if you know you're willing to sit and learn from either instruction or personal time investment. It is the industry standard and I suspect it will remain the standard for a long time to come!

Before haveing version 6 of PhotoShop I used to have version 4, it was ok and all but it just couldn't compete well against Macromedia Fireworks 4, I also have fireworks 4 before it simply is the best but once I got version 6 of PhotoShop i changed my mind. PhotoShop's new UI rulez, PhotoShop's new features rule and last but not least PhotoShop's improved web enhancement tools have been greatly improved! ********** 10 stars!!!
