What I needed was an image editor with typographical flexibility, including leading, letter spacing, and various height/width options.

I needed solid, easy-to-use layering. Changes in a project happen for too often, far too late in the process and I needed to be able to fix things quickly.

I needed the software simple enough for me, a humble writer, to be able to use without looking templated.

Adobe Photoshop takes care of my needs. I'm blessed with a speedy computer, and I realize it is otherwise slower than it could be. Images... the good ones at high resolution... take a lot of memory, and [take] up time and hardware space. Make sure you've got the hardware to handle Photoshop. Get beyond the minimum requirements.

I fully recommend this software, hoping that you have a fast processor with a ton of RAM, and burnable CD Rom (or DVD).

There is, apparently, no tech support for this product. It works fine, when it works. Photomerge, the only thing I am interested in, drifts in and out. When it is out there is no help to find out why, or how to get it to work again. I would never buy this product again.

I am extremely computer literate, but this product is impossible.

This is definitely a good product, but I still like Fireworks better! Why? It's much more user-friendly than Photoshop, and so far there's nothing that I haven't been able to do with Fireworks (Macromedia product).

This product is AWESOME!

If you're into the manipulation of pixels, this software is simply the best there is! BAR NONE! The new online help was laid out thoughtfully. Finding help on a specific topic is easier than ever.

The improvement to the text tool... The final resolution of text is determined by the printer, not the image itself. There is now so much more you can do with text! Too much to go into here.

Adobe finally addresses people like myself, the at home inkjetter. With the new print dialoug and page setup, you don't HAVE to print in the middle of the page, and you can scale the image to your specifications. A simple, yet HUGE improvement!

There are just too many upgrades and improvements throughout the entire package to mention.

Please don't hesitate to buy this software, you won't regret it!

This program is like the ultimate for graphic designers. I just recently got it and it is beyond wonderful. It's pretty easy to use if you're familiar with graphic programs. It has many different effects and I've created amazing graphics that I'm satisfied with by using this program. Sure the price is over the top but if you want something good and satisfying, this is the program for you.
