Big Screen with Tube TV quality Picture

(5 out of 5) by Wesley G Sigler on Dec 1, 2000 (Akron, Ohio United States)
I have had this Tv for about a week now, and I love it. The picture quality is outstanding. Everyone compliments on how the picture quality looks as good as a tube tv if not better. It is also very nice looking TV and takes up little space. Its a blast play the playstation 2 on it also, and it is amazing how good the games look on the Toshiba. Playing on the 43 inch almost makes it feel like your in the game. I only sit about 8 feet away from the screen in my living room, so watching DVDs almost makes it feel like your at the movies. So, if you looking for an excellent HDTV with great picture quality for a small room this TV is for you.

Love this TV

(5 out of 5) by henry regan on Sep 21, 2001 (glendora, nj United States)
The picture is great, sound is great. I have digital cable, dvd, and PS2 connected, all through s-video and the picture is amazing!! The only problem I had with it is that the stands are impossibe to find, I've searched the local stores, the internet to the last page, and had to settle for a different model. If your planning to get it in the next couple months, don't hold your breath to order to the stand. There is a new model coming out next month, but from what I heard, there is a massive demand and they won't last long. besides the stand the tv is incredible!

Fantastic TV

(5 out of 5) by sandeep on Jul 5, 2001 (Edison, NJ United States)
The picture quality and color is amazing and just like a tube tv. I shopped for a HD ready TV for a long time and compared many TVs side by side. After I saw the Toshiba I fell in love with it and decided to buy it. I think it is the best in the market in that price range. I was recommended to use a component cable for the tv for best picture quality. Non-Hd transmission also looks crisper and better with the 1200 lines of resolution. The color mix in the picture is perfect...i found some HD tvs having more of blue hue in the original setting. I liked the size of the tv too...it does not become the prominent focus in the room. Definitely consider this one if you are shopping for a HD Projection TV.

Check before you buy!

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 13, 2001 (Marietta, Georgia United States)
I had to wait several months before I could purchase this product because its rarely in stock. When I finally got I was pleased with the picture quality and features. Then 3 months later it completely died. I've been hassling with Toshiba to get it fixed for the last 5 months without any success so far. Before you buy this product or any other Toshiba product please check the Better Businss Bureau's web site (...). Click on "Check out a Company". Search "Toshiba" "Irvine" "CA". That says it all!

Beautiful Picture

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 28, 2001
This TV actually shows me how bad my cable signal really is. Don't let that comment keep you from buying this set though. DVD's and HD satellite signals look outstanding. The only thing is that it is not 16:9(my better half didn't want it)

For the money, this set should make you hapy for many years.
