Great Value

Sep 17, 2001 - By Nathan Huth (Shiner "Bock", Texas)

I bought this Fisher CD boombox because it is a great value. To start off, the carrying handle is durable and easy to grip. The sound quality of it is better than you think. I have to turn down sometimes because I didn't hear any distortion at at high volumes. The top-loading CD deck is built deep down so it doesn't skip when tapped. I even had a football land on it and it didn't even skip. The only way it'll skip is if you stomp or jump on the ground near the player or hit the top of it with force. It has an enlarged volume control for easy turning. The radio tuning control is an oversized thumbwheel, talking about the radio, with the antenna up, it has very good radio reception. I live in the country so this is a great added feature. When you press stop on the CD player, the CD stops very fast so you can get it out quicker. When after first using the CD-cassette sychronous dubbing, the sound quality of you tape playback won't be as good as you expect but this wears off after a while. Then, after a while your tape playback will be better than ever. It's red lit-up track display is good for seeing the track display at low light or night without turning on a light. In conclusion, this is a great boombox for the price. It's a must but for someone low on cash.
