If you need a replacement cable for your monitor don't just buy the same cheap-o type that came with it. If you have a high quality monitor you will see the difference using this cable. If you have a cheap ($400) monitor you may not see the difference, but the cable will outlast your monitor. Its money well spent. Its a very high quality product. Cleared up a 'flicker' problem for me that was caused by a nearby electric sub-station. Good shielding.
It works - on a high end high bandwidth montor
I have a [$$$] 24" monitor running 1920x1280 screen resolution at high refresh rates.. When I recently broke a pin on the video cable for it, I purchased the best cable they had, for some [$$$] at my local computer store. The image was blurred, with 3 or 4 ghost images a quarter inch off each other.
I immediately found this cable on Amazon, ordered it overnight, and took that other cable back -- for the refund it deserved. Now my image is back to one - no ghosts, no fuzziness. This cable seems 3 times thicker than the one I returned. And the screws are easy to use for my big old fingers. Sweet.
Works great
I bought this for my 37" HD flatpanel lcd tv. Image is great.
Good cable
This is a well made cable, as most Monster brand products are, and did everything I needed it to do and did it well. Besides just wishing I could have found a shorter one, I have no complaints about the cable and would suggest it to anyone. I have used some no name brand VGA cables in the past and seen degredation of image quality and other interference, but not yet with this one.
Laptop to 24" LCD - Great Product
I tried hooking up my Toshiba M200 Tablet PC to my LG 24" LCD monitor and the analog signal was awful. I tried using several other "heavy duty" VGA cables and they all resulted in blurred text and images.
The analog signal while using these "heavy duty" cables was so bad I was forced to use a remote desktop connection to the Tablet PC via my desktop computer attached to the LCD via DVI. As soon as I connected the Toshiba, using the monster cable, I was amazed at the quality of the display. While not as sharp as DVI it is very good and very usable!
