Cable Causes Ghosting

Jan 30, 2003 - By Amazon Customer

I purchased one of these cables for a new 21" monitor. The cable caused ghosting. The connections were defective, which required me to reseat them in order to get a clear image. I replaced this cable with a much less expensive, generic brand model. It works much better than Monster's cable.

I sent this Monster cable for a warranty replacement to Monster. They sent me a DB15-to-DB15 replacement by mistake.

I don't think this is a quality product and I don't think Monster is a quality company. A less expensive cable will work better than Monster.

Monster Does It Again!

Oct 25, 2002 - By Amazon Customer (Brooklyn,NY, USA)

While putting together my ultimate pc devices and hardware, I searched extensively for just the right monitor and at the time I chose ViewSonic's Professional Series (PT775) which was solid in it's own right and when it arrived i was shocked to see that not only did it have the standard RGA input but it included the upscale BNC Connectors as well. This secondary came in handy for auxiliary inputs like game systems (PS2 & Dreamcast) and DVD.
Now that I had the very best monitor it didn't take long for me to find the best cables to complement my purchase. The standard cables did a good job of displaying text and video but when I switched to Monster I immediately noticed the difference for starters the colormatching is much more accurate and sharper and each pixel appears clearly.
This is one of the wisest investments for your PC, particularly for those whose are on their pc's for hours at a time gaming, desktop publishing, photo editing etc. If you're going to spend time looking at that monitor shouldn't you use the best?
