This is an absolutely beautiful cable. If you want to get a great quality F-PIN cable, then this is it. I don't think I can ever go back to the cruddy cables that come in the box with the VCR.
It is gold plated and so well built that you'll wonder why you never used something like this before. The cable is really thick and it screws on really easily and holds really solidly. (I don't know about you but I have to string these darn cables in the hardest to reach places -behind a desk- at a bad angle, so I need all the support that I can get. These cables are really good at free twisting -i.e. when you twist on the cable with one hand it goes on easily and the cable itself doesn't turn and bunch up while you are doing it).
More importantly, since the quality of this cable is so high you can be sure that you won't be losing much signal.
I had to buy four of these because the signal from my cable provider had to be split 4 times and the it was very degraded. These cables did help some, and the cost was worth it to me. (I had to split the signal to another room, then to another room, then to a cable modem and a cable TV box, and then to a Computer and a TV).
Please note, these cables will NOT make a BAD signal better. They WILL prevent a bad signal from degrading further. This is important. If the signal coming in to your house is bad there's not much you can do. But if the cable company says you have a good signal coming in, then you can. In my case I was hoping that I had a good signal that was degraded by the cheap wiring and splitting that I used. In the end I was half right. The signal isn't great on my analog channels but it sure is better than it was.
Finally, if you are going to purchase this cable then I highly recommend purchasing the equivalent quality splitter (if you need it). The "Monster Cable TGHZ-2RF Two Gigahertz Low-Loss RF Splitters For TV & Satellite 2-Way 2 Gigahertz RF Splitter" [Product Number: B00003CWG2] is a wonderful product, too. I can't imagine using anything else with the cables above. To be honest, this will probably make more of a difference to your signal than the cable itself. (Look at your current splitter -if it sells for two bucks at Radio Shack then you can bet you're not getting the best signal because of it).
Overall, very pricy but worth it if you want to splurge.
They work!!
We have cable TV. One of the network channels frequently had "waves" or "ripples" even though it came thru the cable box.
The white cable from the cable company seemed to work so we knew the problem was somewhere in the store bought cables that linked the cable box, TV, TIVO, VCR.. probably leakage INTO our system from the over the air signal. This diagnosis was reinforced because we could usually change the "ripples" by moving or twisting our cables.
We eventually bought Monster Cables (both the 1M and 2M lengths + their signal splitter) and the problem disappeared completely.
These cables are outrageously expensive and, as far as we can tell, not discounted anywhere, but they stopped the signal leakage and not only improved the problem channel but, I think, reception generally.
Possibly, we did not need to replace all of the cables but we never tried individual replacement to see if we could isolate the problem to one or more specific cables.
Five stars to any product that does what it is supposed to.
Great Cables with Easy To Use Fittings - But Expensive !!!
These are great cables. They look and feel great and are easy to connect. They eliminate fuzzy pictures caused by local stations signals leaking into your cable system. They are fully shielded, but are still quite flexible.
The quality is great, but you will pay for it.
