Didn't meet expectations

(3 out of 5) by Susan J. Dunham on Sep 21, 2001 (Framingham, MA United States)
On several fronts, this didn't meet my expectations. The display quality is far inferior to what I expected - the pictures even on the box had to have been retouched because they were far clearer than anything I saw! I waited until I had developed two rolls of film using this camera, and was not impressed with the picture quality. For close-up pictures, it was not bad - about equal with any other point and shoot. For distance pictures, however, I found the quality poor.

Great pictures

I bought this camera a month ago and developed five rolls of film from it! All my pictures came out great and clear too! The preview screen is so nice when taking pictures of kids who hate to pose! Now i can tell what my pictures are going to look like before develope time. It is so easy to use and fun to use! I am not ready for the digital world of cameras. I love my kodak preview camera!!!! Not bad for the price! Great pictures in every roll!

difficulty finding a developer

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 10, 2002 (Sonora, CA USA)
I have had a hard time finding anyone to develop this film. The store sent it in to Kodak processing which had the special label for this type of film. It came back with all different photos than I had ordered. I have called around to eveyplace in the area and nobody has the equipment, nor had they heard anything about the fact that you could order different amounts of specific prints. Very expensive developing...the one roll that I received. Picture quality generally not as good as on screen, not as good as any of the SLR cameras that I have. The prints were .89 cents each. If anyone knows a better way to do this please let me know. I have called Kodak and after much waiting, and getting different numbers I was informed that they could sent me an order form from a company which will sell you envelopes to send the film in, each envelope, ..., and you must buy 5 at a time. I am assuming that they charge extra for the extra photos that you order. There must be a better way. ...
I like the idea of the screen and being able to select the amt of prints and hope that I will be able to use it more successfully.

Great Camera

I think this camera is a great find.I love using mine. The viewfinder is a little hard to use but they all are for me.The wonder of seeing what you just took and knowing its what you want out does any problems I have with the viewfinder. You do have to deal with lots of questions from the people around you who ask how you like having a digtal camera and you have to tell them its a APS camera. If you cut off heads like me or take a lot of thumb prints this is the camera for you.

Great pictures and features. with the preview and being able to pic how many copies u want before processing is great. Gone through 10 or so rolls of film thus far and no complaints.
