Excellent Walkman

(5 out of 5) by Ervin E Riley on Feb 22, 2001 (Waldport, Oregon United States)
I ordered the walkman on Monday, and received it Thursday. The machine came in perfect shape and was packed very well. We live in a rural area, and the FM and AM reception is excellent on this radio. The cassette player works very well, with the sound being excellent. The presets are a bit cumbersome to set up, but once you have them, they are reliable. I consider this to be an excellent product.

this eats my tapes...

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 15, 2001
i lost two tapes, but i won't use it again. also, the radio stations all come in with extreme static, definatly one of the worst cassete players ever created, staining the sony tradions from back in the day when they made GOOD products.

Walks by the lake and in the woods.

The Sony Portable Cassette Player is versatile, efficient and convenient of use in clipping to a belt or slip in a jacket pocket. Sound is excellent, tone and volume adjustable providing many hours of entertainment, words and music, cassettes or radio, FM or AM, personal studies and concentration in the privacy of your walk or wherever.

Tuti's tale

This is a great piece of electronics. It is really hard to find portable cassette players now. Also, hard to find one that you don't have to physically turn the cassette over to hear the second side. It also comes with a case that I can hook in my back jeans pocket. I use it for listening to my audiobook cassettes. The sound is very good and the unit is not expensive for all that you get. Simple button controlls.
