Unbeatable sound and antishock

(5 out of 5) by Trevor J. Hall on Nov 3, 2000 (PERRY,, ME USA)
A truly remarkable product. The sound reproduction is superb, and the antishock feature is almost impossible to defeat. Frankly it beats a lot of pricier units into a cocked hat, the only disc player able to come close was a Sony microdisc player, no CD portable has such a sophisticated antishock feature, whatever their famous brand name, much to the despair of my friends. Whether jogging or driving over bumpy roads, this is the unit of choice. The blue is just a bit too bright, but I can live with that.

Audiovox Personal CD Player

(4 out of 5) by Carol Kallweit on Oct 9, 2000 (Tulsa, OK United States)
I received the Audiovox CD Player as a gift. I am completely thrilled with the design of the product, a cool blue hard-plastic see-through case (like the iMac!). But I am more impressed with the audio quality of the CD. The audio has depth and clarity, and offers a 40 second electronic skip protection that allows for smooth and continous play ..... even while I am working out on my stairmaster. I highly recommend this CD player for quality and neat design.

Great Sound!

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 21, 2000
This has great sound! I pretty much agree with the other reviews and this why I bought it. The only thing I would add is that you may want to purchase a better pair of headphones. The headset that comes with it is not the best. The antishock is wonderful. I use this for walking and just love it!

It's a [inexpensive] CD player...

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 6, 2002 (St. Paul, MN)
I bought this CD player after my more pricey one broke. I bought it because it was cheap, I can't complain. Sometimes all the programmable features interferred with it functioning normally. The batteries seemed to last a lot longer than in my last CD player and it put up with a lot of abuse. Unfortunately, I lost it... so now I'm back for another. You can't get a better portable CD player without spending A LOT more money. For most purposes, this one is just fine.

Not a good product

Within the first 2 hours of use, the anti-skip broke. VERY frustrating. Would not buy again.
