Just what the doctor ordered for the Psion Revo or Mako

Aug 29, 2001 - By QuasarComics (Louisville, KY USA)

I just bought the Diamond Mako (aka Psion revo+) and it is a fine little machine. It did need a well contructed all purpose case to go around it and not take up much additional room.
I was glad to find the body glove on the Amazon product list because it does just what the doctor ordered in a well contructed and form fitting design.
Highly recommended for all Psion Revo or Diamond Mako owners.

Good solid Case

It's a good case for the Psion. However, the Psion really doesn't need it as it's built very sturdily. This case is for people that really hate to get their goods worn & torn over time. But in time, you'll want a faster, nicer toy!

Good, but a Little Chubby

Mar 2, 2002 - By Biker395 (Torrance, CA USA)

I bought the Diamond Mako (or Psion Revo+) some time ago thinking I would only use it on business trips to check remote e-mail and compose a few documents. Soon enough, I found it so useful that it completely replaced my Day-Timer wallet organizer. More like a minature PC than a PDA, the Mako/Revo is a wonderful machine. In many respects, it is in a class by itself.

The Body Glove case promises wallet-like functionality (storage for bills, your license, and a few credit cards) and a secure, padded case for the Mako. It fulfills most, but not all, of that promise. While it is useful enough for it's intended purpose, I would make a couple of improvements:

The neoprene material: Although it provides effective padding, it is a bit too thick ... more than necessary for adequate shock resistance. It makes for a chubby little package when it is zipped together. That may not be important to a woman carrying a purse, but to is important to us men that have to carry these things in our pockets. Another disadvantage of the thicker neoprene material is that it makes the Mako's alarm virtually inaudible when the case is zipped up. Since the alarms continue until they are reset or the battery runs out (and the alarms consume a considerable amount of electricity), you may find your Mako unexpectedly out of power when you open the case and attempt to turn it on.

Attachment to the PDA: The PDA is affixed to the case via velcro hooks on the case and two velcro pads that are affixed to the back of the PDA. While that simple set up works well, the velcro pads interfere with the PDA/docking station interface. This is a minor problem, however, as it can be solved merely by cutting the velcro pads in half lengthwise.

Keeps the humidity out. Has three slots for credit cards and one pouch for money.
