A Piece of Junk

As soon as you put it on, it comes apart, a constant frustration. Perhaps the designers knew itcouldn't be worn long, so uncomfortable is it. It pinches the head, loses its adjustment, and the clamp at the end is hard and sharp edged, despite a piece of symbolic foam that's so hard it has no cushioning effect.
The earphone (there's only one) is of low quality, and I couldn't get the mic to work. It broadcast only static on otherwise functioning CB radios from both the same maker, Midland, and from Cobra.
It is the cheapest CB headset on the market, and for a reason. Don't waste your money on it.
I also am displeased with the merchant who sold it. Though it was well- packed and quickly delivered, when I wrote them for a return authorization, I got no reply. They apparently didn't want it back.
I can understand why.

very pooooor item
(1 out of 5) by S. Ebrahim on Nov 3, 2007 (Kuwait)I ordered 2 of this item, All I can say : it should not be for sale ! it is a peice of junk and made of very cheep materials. On item was not working at all, the other came with a factory defect in the mic. I threw both of them in the recycle pin.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

NOT compatible with all Midland Family Radios

It does not work with the Midland 1001Z CB radio, and the VOX (voice-activated transmit) does not work with the Midland handheld 75-785 CB radio. It is still good value for money, but be aware that it might not be compatible with other gear you are buying.

Then I pulled the non-speaker side off (easy to remove without breaking) and wore just the speaker and boom mic. It still started to hurt after a while. However, the speaker produces clear sound and I have no trouble hearing my friends on other motorcycles. I don't talk much, and so sometimes I just plug in my small ipod headphones for use.
