pretty much a really good phone

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 11, 2000
The phone has very nice volume control and I have had no problems with static/interference. It is a nice size for holding with your shoulder and it can go on the cradle both ways, face up and down, which is nice. Storing a number in memory is kind of annoying because you have to scroll through the entire alphabet twice (capital and small letters) to get to the letter you want, and it beeps with every letter quite loudly, this is made a lot more simple by the nice (included) function of storing numbers from caller id. There are only two things that, if fixed, would make this phone really fantastic: 1) The caller ID doesn't come on until the second ring, so if you want to see who is calling you have to wait. This is really inconvenient when I get late night calls and don't want to wake up my room mate with the phone ringing! Also, if you answer the call (on any phone on the line) before the second ring, the phone doesn't record the caller, which sucks. 2) There is no way to turn the ringer off, which is really annoying when I want to take a nap during the day. Besides these two things, this phone is great!

Good for the price

Phone has good sound. Range leaves a little to be desired. Light weight and easy to use. Great for apartment dwellers.

Huh? I can't hear you...let me change phones.

This is the worst phone I've ever owned. The speaker is garbled and, based on what the folks at the other end of the line say, so is the microphone. Also, the electronic interface for volume and other settings is cumbersome and unnecessary. Don't buy it.

Awesome phone

I was really pizzed I had to replace this phone in fact I tried to purchase it again. Excellant sound quality, great caller id display with call waiting caller id. The only reason I had to replace it was I dropped and split apart on the vanity then fell in the toilet... sheesh!!
